The procedure for public administration activities may be improved this Thursday

22/ 09/ 2021
This Thursday, September 23, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is to consider Draft Law №3475 On Administrative Procedure in the second reading. The draft law establishes the guiding principles for administrative bodies in their work with businesses and citizens. These include the rule of law, equality before the law, impartiality, openness, timeliness, and efficiency. Besides, draft law №3475 proposes to determine the status of the administrative body, as well as the composition and status of participants in administrative proceedings, their rights, and responsibilities, etc. Another novelty is the regulation of the succession mechanism of administrative bodies which is extremely important both for businesses and for citizens who receive certain administrative services. The European Business Association has always supported the need to improve the procedures of public administration and also drew attention to the importance of strengthening the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business in relations with the state. Moreover, the EBA has already sent official letters to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine – Mr. Dmytro Razumkov, as well as the Chairman of the relevant VRU Committee – Mr. Andriy Klochko on the importance of adopting this draft law. Therefore, we hope that the position of the business will be heard, and the peoples deputies will soon adopt draft law №3475 On Administrative Procedure in the second reading and as a whole.   Be the first to learn about the latest EBA news with our Telegram-channel – EBAUkraine.
