Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen visits DSV in Ukraine

11/ 09/ 2023
Last week, DSV Ukraine HQ in Kyiv had the great privilege and honor to welcome Mette Frederiksen - the Prime Minister and Ole Egberg Mikkelsen - the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark. During the meeting, the parties discussed the future development of Danish business in Ukraine, possible formats of cooperation and further steps aimed to support, restore and modernize Ukraine. The Danish Prime Minister was impressed by the “incredible strength” and “the will to never to give in” of all Ukrainians and all DSV offices in Ukraine, which continue to operate during the war time.  In addition, Mette Frederiksen noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DSV in Ukraine has not stopped providing strategically important services and delivering humanitarian supplies. “Denmark is one of the countries that helps Ukraine and I think that the whole Europe is impressed by how you cope with these challenges. Our support is a long-term commitment. We are indebted to you for your incredible fight. Your fight is our fight,” the Danish leader said in a speech to UA Parliament. Later, at a meeting with the Head of the Ukrainian state, the Prime Minister of Denmark announced her country’s readiness to increase assistance to Ukraine. This will be the 12th package, being prepared for the current month. This is an extremely important example of how solidarity can work for the restoration of normal life, for the protection of people. I thank you, Mette, and all the people of Denmark for this leadership, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
