24/ 03/ 2025
On March 21, the Communications Coordinator of the European Business Association attended a press breakfast organised by McDonalds to mark the nationwide launch of breakfast offerings in its network. The event took place at one of McDonalds restaurants, where the company’s speakers shared their development plans for the upcoming year. Key topics included the company’s expansion plans in Ukraine, particularly the opening of new restaurants and increased investments, as well as details about the launch of the breakfast menu in Ukraine. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about the process of reintroducing breakfast, from developing the new morning menu and testing it to the nationwide launch. Participants also had the chance to visit the restaurants kitchen and even prepare their own breakfast from the updated menu. During the event, McDonalds speakers discussed the companys cooperation with local suppliers, noting that around 60% of ingredients and products come from local producers. This supports the development of partner businesses, job creation, and increased tax revenue for the state. In 2024, the company invested 1.8 billion UAH in the construction and modernisation of restaurants, while the total amount of taxes paid was around 2.6 billion UAH. The European Business Association thanks the McDonalds Ukraine press office for the invitation and the engaging discussion on the development of the restaurant business in Ukraine.
