Representatives of business, government and the EU discussed the prospects of signing the ACAA Agreement

11/ 05/ 2021
On April 28, there was a presentation of the results of the joint study The forthcoming ACAA between the EU and Ukraine - What to expect?. After that, the representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, experts, and business representatives discussed the prospects of signing the Agreement, the possible scope of its application, etc. From the part of the business, the discussion was attended by representatives of both companies importing and exporting equipment to which primarily the so-called industrial visa-free regime under the ACAA Agreement will be applied. That provides for mutual recognition of labeling and conformity assessment between Ukraine and the EU. The EBA representatives once again stressed the importance of signing the Agreement as soon as possible and expressed hope that all obstacles in this way will eventually be overcome, which will allow even more active development of bilateral trade between the EU and Ukraine. The video of the meeting can be found at the link. A short presentation of the research results can be found HERE. The full version of the study The forthcoming ACAA between the EU and Ukraine - What to expect? will be available later.
