OTP Bank’s employees completed a three-month training at the Product Owner School

29/ 09/ 2022
24 employees of OTP Bank from retail business, corporate business, information technology and security departmants completed a three-month training at the Product Owner School and received certificates of product owners from the agiledrive company. This education of the banks team is one of the steps in systematic strategic implementation of flexible approaches to the new products’ development in OTP Bank. The training consisted of three modules: Products/Scrum, Stakeholders, Backlog/Team Management. Each participant had the opportunity to participate in intermodule meetings and invest up to 20 hours per month in homework and developing their own product using the new methodology. Recently bank employees completed the course, presented the final projects and received certificates from the agiledrive company. CEO of OTP Bank Volodymyr Mudryi congratulated the graduates and noted: Despite everything, the war, its economic consequences, limited opportunities for the development of the banking sector, we continue to invest in development of our team. This time - in learning flexible approaches in creating competitive banking products. After all, the strength of any company lies precisely in its team - in mutual trust, cohesion, professionalism and the desire to move together in the same direction. As Steve Jobs said, important things in business world are not done by one person. They are made by a group of people. Agile management is an iterative method of planning and managing projects and processes. Agile management allocates short product development cycles, providing additional updates depending on changing customer needs. It is used as an effective practice of organizing the work of small groups (which do similar creative work) in combination with their management by a combined (liberal and democratic) method.
