Ponova by OTP Bank – step towards client’s needs and service beyond the bank

  Beyond the bank services, such as Ponova by OTP Bank, are the response to a clients need in receiving maximum bonded services on one platform. Said Oleg Klymenko, Member of the Management Board of “OTP BANK” JSC responsible for retail business development during conference Digital Lending 2024. “We offer Ponova by OTP Bank clients a marketplace, where one can buy a used car. A large number of partners were united – about 60% used cars sellers, which is 20 thousand cars, ready for buying. All cars can be bought on a loan, there is a personal manager for every client and Bank provides a support of the agreement. So we “solved all pains” of the client, who wants to buy a used car”, - emphasized the banker. As O.Klymenko noted, other tendency in a retail services is that, banks massively develop term loans. “Essence and form of loans, for which private clients are applying to banks, have change. Today 60-70% of all requests are installments and cash loans. Before 2022 situations was different, part of installments and cash loans was 30-40%. That means, that now clients are arranging mostly term loans, and banks are massively developing this direction”, - emphasized he. According to him, installments almost by 90% are connected with digital direction. “This clients experience is developed when the customer knows that they can use it whenever the need arises. The main magic is connected to that, which digital products and banks services are helping to receive this experience”, - said the banker. Klymenko told, that OTP BANK suggests several types of installments, which are available in OTP Bank UA app. “Client has a choice. For example, one can chose goods in a shop or on a partners network website, and then purchase it on installment - this is “Skybochka by partners”. On the other hand, you can do the opposite – first buy something, and after receive your money back on a card at the expense of credit limit. This is reinforcement on installment, which we are actively developing”, - he said.
