EBA Southern Ukrainian Office Joined Odesa Region Recovery Forum

29/ 09/ 2026
On September 24–25, the Odesa Region Recovery Forum “The Land That Unites” took place in Odesa, bringing together around 150 representatives of national and local authorities, territorial communities, international organisations, business and civil society. The Southern Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association joined the forum to represent the business community and contribute to the dialogue on the recovery and further development of Odesa region. Participants discussed key issues for the region, including economic recovery, the resilience of critical infrastructure and the energy sector, development of the agri-food sector, social cohesion, logistics, and the mobilisation of international support. For businesses, these issues are directly linked to the stability of operations, investment activity and opportunities for further growth. In particular, the forum addressed energy resilience, alternative power sources, protection of critical and transport infrastructure, development of logistics routes, and opportunities for public-private partnerships. An important part of the forum was the “Project Fair”, where communities and businesses presented their initiatives and discussed opportunities for scaling projects, attracting investment and securing international support. This format helps move from discussing challenges towards identifying concrete partners and resources for project implementation. For the Southern Ukrainian Office of EBA, participation in such events is an important part of representing the interests of the regional business community and strengthening dialogue between business, government, communities and international partners. The recovery of Odesa region requires coordination among all these stakeholders, with business playing an active role in the process. We thank the organisers and participants for the meaningful dialogue and the opportunity to contribute to discussions on solutions that are important for the resilience and further development of Odesa region.
