OTP Bank started to serve customers in providing digital documents through the app Diia

From now branch managers will accept digital ID-cards and foreign passports of Ukrainian citizens in the Diia app for forming legal cases of new individual clients or updating the identification data of existing clients – to provide them banking services. A person who decides to be identified by a digital document in Diia will need to generate a barcode of the required document on their own smartphone, show it to a bank employee for scanning and confirm the data transfer. An electronic copy of the document that the bank will receive from the Diia will be sent to the electronic archive of the bank, without the need to form copies of documents in paper form. “Stacks of paper that had to be collected in the process of customer service are gradually becoming a thing of the past. We live in a digital age that has very significant advantages, one of which is the ability to always have the necessary documents in electronic form. OTP Bank actively uses modern technological opportunities to make communication with the client as simple and successful as possible,” said Oleg Klymenko, a member of the Board for Retail Business Division of OTP Bank. It will be recalled that at the first stage of the integration project with the Diia app, OTP Bank implemented a function of validation of documents of current bank customers-individuals for their further service in the bank branch without providing paper copies or original documents (ID-card or passport). * * * Diia is a new level of interaction between the state and citizens: convenient and humane. On the portal you can get online almost 70 government services, and in the updated mobile app – access to 9 of your digital documents and 12 services. Among the documents: ID-card and foreign biometric passport, student card, drivers license, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle insurance policy, tax number, birth certificate and IDP certificate.
