Ukraine and the Hellenic Republic are currently experiencing times of economic crisis, exacerbated by the Covid19 pandemic and its negative effects. In particular, the last lockdown in March 2020 led to significant losses of Ukrainian business, and Hellenic Republic recently closed for another quarantine. We hope that the pandemic will end soon and both countries will be able to recover from the crisis at the earliest possible juncture and most effectively. Meanwhile, on November 25, 2020, we decided to explore the investment opportunities of the two countries during the Online Discussion of the European Business Association with the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic and highlight interesting opportunities for strengthen bilateral cooperation. In particular, we talked about the peculiarities of doing business in Ukraine and the Hellenic Republic, considered the key sectors for investment and the priority areas of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation. Separate attention was paid to the development of port infrastructure as an important area for further cooperation between the two countries and to the problem of household waste management. As we can see, the Hellenic Republic has ample opportunities for starting business and less tight control by inspection bodies. It should be noted that one of the priority areas for effective partnership between the two countries is to attract investment in the economies of both countries.
