Offline training in Dnipro: Financing for SMEs

  Last week, EBA Dnipro and KSE Institute, with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, held a practical training session titled Financing for SMEs: Solutions, Tools, and Cases in Dnipro. The event brought together entrepreneurs, government officials, insurers, and bankers to provide key tools for business stabilization and development during the war. Kateryna Prysyazhnyuk, Head of the EBA Dnipro, emphasized that access to financing is one of the most pressing challenges for SMEs. She highlighted that modern realities require entrepreneurs to adopt a comprehensive approach, which means using a wide range of tools, from bank loans to grant programs and government initiatives. The training was built on practical examples and interactive discussions. Participants actively asked questions, discussing real-world problems and receiving specific recommendations. Among the speakers were: Olha Slyvynska, Director of International Relations, KSE Institute Maryna Prudnikova, Senior Expert, Corporate Sales Department of the Eastern Ukrainian Regional Directorate, OTP Bank JSC Andrii Semchenko, Chairman of the Board, INGO Insurance Company The practical case studies were of particular interest, as entrepreneurs shared their own experiences. Yuliia Rushchak (PE Kiddy-Ko, TM Ideyka) shared the story of her successful business scaling on an international level. Her case became a vivid example of how properly chosen financial instruments can open doors to foreign markets. Yaroslav Lysak (Founder & CEO, Neverdark) presented a structured approach to selecting funding sources at different stages of business development, outlining the 9 key financial instruments for startups and scaling companies.
