Natalia Spivak Told About Main Aspects of Medical Reform

  On March 16th, 2018 Kyiv hosted a workshop “Problems of diagnostics and treatment of common gastroenterological diseases in the practice of the primary care physician in the context of medical reform”, which gathered leading experts in the field of healthcare. The event was organized by the Ukrainian Association of Interdisciplinary Medicine and National Medical University named after O. O. Bogomolets. Legal Alliance Company was represented by associate Natalia Spivak, who made a speech “Main aspects of medical reform”, which focused on such issues as legal basis of medical reform, reform of primary medical care, funding of medical services, autonomization of healthcare facilities, etc. In her speech Ms Spivak noted “In conditions of extreme financial vulnerability of patients, low quality and effectiveness of medical services, ineffective use of budget funds and low level of salary of doctors, medical reform has been necessary since long. This is a comprehensive process which includes, in particular, introduction of state guaranteed medical care and transition to payment for services provided to a specific patient”.
