Nataliia Hutarevych contributes to the groundbreaking European Onshore Wind Regulatory Study

  Sayenko Kharenko’s counsel, Natalia Hutarevych, has contributed to the comprehensive “International Onshore Wind Stud” examining regulatory frameworks across 29 European jurisdictions. Nataliia provided expert analysis representing Ukraine in this landmark research initiative. The study offers businesses and investors crucial insights into Europe’s diverse legal landscapes governing onshore wind development. Research for this comprehensive study was conducted between November 2023 and January 2025. The work, completed in partnership with Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH and other prominent energy law specialists, comes as Europe intensifies its shift toward sustainable energy systems. “The European wind energy sector’s exceptional performance in 2023 parallels Ukraine’s determination to build a resilient, sustainable energy system,” noted Nataliia Hutarevych. “By participating in this study, we provide investors with valuable insights into Ukraine’s renewable energy regulations within the European context, underscoring Sayenko Kharenko’s commitment to facilitating green investments crucial to our country’s recovery and energy independence.” The study provides valuable comparative analysis across multiple aspects of onshore wind development, including: Land acquisition strategies and challenges Planning and permitting processes Grid connection requirements and procedures Marketing opportunities and remuneration mechanisms Optimal corporate structuring approaches The complete study is available here.
