20/ 07/ 2021
The whole universe is thought out to the smallest detail, under the brand as which you have never doubted. Today we will tell you how step by step, a small workshop for making ironing boards, chairs and ladders, carpenter Ole Kirk Kristanen - turned into an empire. The history of the brand began in 1932 in Denmark. Already a little-known carpenter Ole in his own workshop was making ironing boards, chairs, ladders and suddenly he started making wooden toys. The first toys for sale were cars and furniture - made of wood, which were of high quality! It quickly went uphill and in 1934 the staff was increased to 7 employees, the same year the workshop was named Leg Godt in translation Play well. Gottfried, Oles son, became not only an ideological inspirer but also a chief designer. He himself invented new and new models: figures, cars, an interesting tool for playing in the yard. In 1935, the first prototype of wooden constructors appeared - this was the main step in the history of the company. During World War II, the Leg Godt workshop was destroyed, but was soon rebuilt with the help of workers. In 1946, Ole bought the first machine for making plastic parts. The supplier of the molding machine, sends the device together with several samples of goods. Among them is a hollow brick by Himmari Page, and Ole praised the designers idea and decided to improve it - thats how the world got the famous «LEGO» designer.
