Ukraine Recovery Committee discusses preparations for URC2025 and future areas of work

02/ 06/ 2025
On 30 May 2025, the European Business Association’s Ukraine Recovery Committee held its latest meeting. During the internal part of the meeting, Committee members focused on preparations for a side event to be held as part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, scheduled for 9 July in Rome. The event will explore the theme “Debunking Myths About Doing Business in Ukraine,” with a particular focus on frontline regions. Preparations are also underway for a themed brochure and the organisation of a hybrid event in Dnipro. Additionally, participants were informed that the selection process for investment projects to be showcased at URC2025 has been completed. Other decisions included organising a meeting with companies from the EBA’s Western Ukraine Office to prepare a guide on the advantages of doing business in Western Ukraine. The Committee will also continue its dialogue with the Public-Private Partnership Agency (PPP) and international financial institutions. The external part of the meeting featured two important discussions: With the German Marshall Fund, which is implementing a project to support the recovery of war-affected Ukrainian cities. The first pilot location has already been selected, with two more planned for 2026. With representatives of the “Cultural Forces” initiative (Cultural Desant), which combines cultural tools with recovery processes. A dedicated meeting involving other EBA Committees is planned. We sincerely thank all participants for their active engagement and constructive contribution to the development of key recovery initiatives in Ukraine.
