EBA Committee on Lobbying and Transparent Policies summarises 2025

  On 17 December, the European Business Association’s Committee on Lobbying and Transparent Policies held its year-end meeting, during which participants reviewed the Committee’s work in 2025, set priorities for 2026, and announced the results of the elections for the Committee co-chairs. For 2026, the Committee’s co-chairs were elected as: Artem Freyuk (Kyivstar), Felix Zinchenko (DTEK), Andriy Pidhainyi (Arzinger) Key Results of 2025 Among the Committee’s main achievements were: Launch of the EBA Lobbying Talks format (5 meetings in 2025); Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy; Organisation of the EBA Lobbying and Transparency Gathering event; Active engagement with government authorities — 40 meetings in various formats, including with the NACP and the relevant Verkhovna Rada Committee; Support to the NACP in clarifying practical aspects of working with the Transparency Register. Plans for 2026 In 2026, the Committee will focus on: Surveying businesses regarding registration in the Transparency Register; Preparing and promoting amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Lobbying” (draft registration planned for February 2026); Developing clarifications on the application of lobbying legislation jointly with the NACP; Expanding the Lobbying Talks format and broadening Committee membership; Analysing public consultation legislation and initiating amendments to the lobbying activity classification (NACE 70.20). The Committee on Lobbying continues to work on developing transparent mechanisms for interaction between business and government.
