United by a good cause: OTP Bank holds a Corporate Donor Day

29/ 09/ 2026
Ahead of Ukraine’s Defenders Day, employees of JSC OTP Bank took part in a Donor Day organized in partnership with DonorUA. For the Bank’s team, corporate blood donation has become a valued tradition, offering an opportunity to help people through a tangible act that can ultimately save lives. “Blood donation is one of those acts of humanity whose importance is difficult to overestimate. It is encouraging to see such initiatives resonate with OTP Bank employees. What is particularly valuable is that corporate donation brings people together regardless of their position or department. This is how a culture of mutual support is built, where helping others becomes not a one-time initiative but a shared value of the entire team,” said Lesia Syrota, Team Leader of the OTP Bank Helps Ukraine charity project and Director of Retail Banking Sales and Network Management at OTP Bank. As part of the initiative, 27 Bank employees donated more than 12 litres of blood for the Kyiv Regional Blood Service Centre. Maintaining adequate blood and blood component reserves is critically important for many healthcare institutions. Donated blood is essential for surgeries, the treatment of serious illnesses and injuries, as well as the provision of emergency medical care. OTP Bank has been organizing corporate donor days since 2021. Over the years, the initiative has become an integral part of the Bank’s volunteer activities, bringing together hundreds of employees who support the development of the blood donation movement in Ukraine. Earlier this year, in June, the Bank’s team also contributed to replenishing blood supplies for the Kyiv Regional Blood Service Centre. In previous years, employees supported blood donation initiatives of the M. M. Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery as well. Through initiatives such as these, OTP Bank continues to promote a culture of social responsibility, volunteerism, and community support, encouraging employees to make a meaningful contribution where it is needed most.
