International Business: Structure and Decision-Making

19/ 10/ 2026
  Interlegal’s Practical Perspective on Corporate and Tax Matters International business has long been about much more than simply “registering a legal entity abroad and getting on with business.” Foreign companies, corporate structures, banks, taxes, financing, owners, and assets are not isolated elements, but components of a single, closely interconnected system. A business decision made in one jurisdiction can trigger a chain reaction in another, yet owners often discover this only after the consequences have already materialised. How can businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions be managed today without unnecessary tax and administrative risks? How can separate companies be integrated into a reliable, manageable, and transparent system? How should businesses interact with banks and corporate service providers? What should be considered when changing ownership, transferring assets, or restructuring a business? These are the questions we will address on 27 and 29 October, from 14:00 to 15:30 (Kyiv time), via Zoom. During two practical webinars, Interlegal will examine real-life cases and proven corporate and tax solutions for businesses operating in Ukraine and abroad. 27 October. Foreign Companies: What Owners Need to Know Today We will begin by exploring how non-resident companies operate in practice today. Interlegal’s Practical Perspective on Corporate and Tax Matters

International business has long been about much more than simply “registering a legal entity abroad and getting on with business.” Foreign companies, corporate structures, banks, taxes, financing, owners, and assets are not isolated elements, but components of a single, closely interconnected system.

  • Payments to non-residents from Ukraine, foreign exchange restrictions, and withholding tax on repatriated income;
  • International tax control and information exchange.

29 October. How to Build and Manage an Effective Corporate Structure

On the second day, we will move from day-to-day issues to the overall architecture of a business. We will examine:

  • The roles of holding and operating companies and how corporate control is structured;
  • How funds move within an international group and how dividends, interest, and royalties are taxed;
  • Business restructuring and asset transfers;
  • Shareholders’ agreements, allocation of control, and deadlock resolution mechanisms;
