The pandemic and its social-economic consequences have greatly affected our lives for the last 2 years. On the one hand, this challenge has forced the companies to start projects on optimization, efficiency increase, remote work and digital processes set up, on the other hand — it has highlighted the human relations and man himself importance, having strengthened the trend of business humanization. This means that: People are not indifferent to the place where they work, to whom, which values are shared by the companys staff, its management, For people, its important whom they work with, who surrounds them and how these people treat their individuality, and also feel that they are understood, valued, cared of, For people, its important what and for what they do anything, to feel pride about their activities results, to feel that they are investing their time correctly, achieving an inspiring aim, to feel autonomy while doing work. At the same time, it is easier for people to change jobs. If at the beginning of the pandemic the pace of recruitment fell sharply, everyone was waiting to return to normal, now there is a return to the pace of 2019. The competition is high, especially for professionals and high-potential workers who can think and learn quickly, easily adapt as to work and team, and to constant change. Therefore, in order to stay in trend and to be competitive, it is important for companies to: Develop the constant feedback culture in the company, using all possible formats, learn to use the employee suffrage in decision-making, provide support and timely change what has ceased to be effective and lost relevance, explain difficult decisions, clarify prospects, answer painful questions, Ensure transparent conditions of remuneration and agreements implementation, take into account the individual priorities and characteristics of key employees, Pay more, in case of extra results, do not stop thanking people for their contribution to business and team development, Review EVP and adapt, target communications to different target groups separately, Take care of society and the environment, involving the employees, Encourage the development, initiative and innovation of employees, Take care of peoples physical and mental health, help in difficult life situations, reduce stress at work, including due to transparent communications and reduction of uncertainty, To unite people using an important aim that will form a sense of unity and affiliation to something bigger and more significant. The conference’s “Employer’s brand development in modern conditions”, which took place on October 21, 2021 at the EBA WUO initiative with the partners’ support of Kredobank, Ancor Ukraine and Robota.ua insights.

The pandemic and its social-economic consequences have greatly affected our lives for the last 2 years. On the one hand, this challenge has forced the companies to start projects on optimization, efficiency increase, remote work and digital processes set up, on the other hand — it has highlighted the human relations and man himself importance, having strengthened the trend of business’ humanization.

This means that:

  • People are not indifferent to the place where they work, to whom, which values are shared by the company’s staff, its management,
  • For people, it’s important whom they work with, who surrounds them and how these people treat their individuality, and also feel that they are understood, valued, cared of,
  • For people, it’s important what and for what they do anything, to feel pride about their activities results, to feel that they are investing their time correctly, achieving an inspiring aim, to feel autonomy while doing work.

Therefore, in order to stay in trend and to be competitive, it is important for companies to:

  • Develop the constant feedback culture in the company, using all possible formats, learn to use the employee suffrage in decision-making, provide support and timely change what has ceased to be effective and lost relevance, explain difficult decisions, clarify prospects, answer painful questions,
  • Ensure transparent conditions of remuneration and agreements implementation, take into account the individual priorities and characteristics of key employees,
  • Pay more, in case of extra results, do not stop thanking people for their contribution to business and team development,
  • Review EVP and adapt, target communications to different target groups separately,
  • Take care of society and the environment, involving the employees,
  • Encourage the development, initiative and innovation of employees,
  • Take care of people’s physical and mental health, help in difficult life situations, reduce stress at work, including due to transparent communications and reduction of uncertainty,
  • To unite people using an important aim that will form a sense of unity and affiliation to something bigger and more significant.

Personally, I like the importance of staying human in relation to employees and each other to be in trend. Be yourself and respect the right of others to be themselves!

May your brand become stronger and your people happier!
