18/ 05/ 2026
On 15 May, the Food Committee of the European Business Association met with representatives of the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office. The meeting was attended by Andrii Talama, Director of the Office, Anna Milenina, Adviser to the Director, and Iryna Vasylenko, Acting Deputy Director for Export Promotion. Representatives of the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office presented to the business community the key areas of their activities and initiatives planned for the near future. In particular, they highlighted the development of cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad. A corresponding memorandum has already been signed, and further cooperation is expected to be strengthened through the Diia.Business portal. Through the Diia.Business portal, entrepreneurs can access a wide range of services, including: development of export strategies and plans; assessment of companies’ export readiness; consultations on customs and regulatory matters; educational programmes and online courses; organisation of international exhibitions, trade missions and promotional events abroad. Participants also discussed work with markets where Ukraine does not have diplomatic missions. Representatives of the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office noted that they cooperate with requests from sectoral business associations and, where economic interest is confirmed, conduct research into new markets. The representatives of the Institution also shared a successful case study of a programme supporting Ukrainian producers in entering the Swedish market, which includes the following stages: training entrepreneurs on market specifics and assessing export readiness; a market orientation mission involving meetings with local partners and distributors; presentation of Ukrainian producers at an international exhibition event. At present, five Ukrainian companies have already entered the Swedish market under the programme, and the possibility of scaling this cooperation model to other countries is being considered. The Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office emphasised the importance of feedback from businesses regarding priority markets, analytical needs and support instruments, as the Institution’s activities are aimed at responding to the current needs of Ukrainian entrepreneurs and supporting the expansion of their international presence. The Association is grateful to Andrii Talama, Anna Milenina and Iryna Vasylenko for the valuable information provided to Ukrainian producers and exporters.
