13/ 09/ 2017

All presenters have heard forecasts from executives of large businesses that work in completely different fields: Tomas Fiala, Dragon Capital, spoke about macroeconomic trends and barriers that still keep businesses from feeling more confident. Unfortunately, the most important are corruption and courts. Parramit Kalon, ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, talked about progress in the metallurgical sector and expectations from 2018. She said that Ukraine has great potential, but there are certain disadvantages that really hinder work in normal mode, such as imperfect infrastructure. Ansgar Bornemann, Nestlé Ukraine, shared information on the state of the food sector and his personal business forecasts for the coming year. About our powerful IT sector: the situation was commented by the director of Simcorp Ukraine Alexander Khraban. Nazir Abduwahidov, Head of Qatar Airways Representative Office in Ukraine, told us about new opportunities for business tourism. Forecasts of the pharmaceutical industry development were highlighted by Georgy Viktorov, Chairman of the Committee on Healthcare of the Association. And finally, about the mood in the banking sector - Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, Raiffeisen Bank Aval / Raiffeisen Bank Aval. During the event, the results of two expert studies were presented: EBA Business Forecast and joint with Dragon Capital and the Center for Economic Strategy - Foreign Investors Survey. Both studies have confirmed that the business community generally looks optimistic about the future. Thank you to everyone who has joined the dialogue!
