30/ 01/ 2025
EY announces the launch of the international competition Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 in Ukraine. This event is supported by the NV news agency and ProCredit Bank. EY Entrepreneur of the Year has been running in 79 countries since 1986. It is one of the premier global competitions for entrepreneurs. In 2025, Ukraine will become an official participating country. The national selection will be conducted in several stages. After applications are submitted, a shortlist will be compiled, and its participants will meet with the independent jury committee members. Based on interviews and analysis of the provided information, finalists and winners will be selected. Key evaluation criteria for nominees include entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, impact, and growth. Participation is free. Applications for the competition will be accepted from January 28 to February 28, 2025. Business leaders who started their businesses at least two years ago are eligible to participate. The winner of the national stage EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 in Ukraine will be announced at the official awards ceremony on April 10, 2025. The winner will represent Ukraine at the EY World Entrepreneur competition at the international final in June 2025. Bogdan Yarmolenko, EY Ukraine Managing Partner, comments: We invite all entrepreneurs, regardless of their business size, to participate in this competition. Entrepreneur of the Year focuses on individuals, not their companies only. The jury values not just financial performance but also growth dynamics, entrepreneurial and leadership qualities, and innovative business approaches. One of the categories in the competition will be the NV Readers Choice, allowing the audience to cast their votes on the NV website once the finalists are revealed in March 2025. The winner of this interactive poll will be announced during the awards ceremony in April 2025. Vitaliy Sych, editor-in-chief of NV media house, comments: For almost three years, Ukrainian business has been operating under new, extremely challenging conditions, solving problems that no one has ever faced in the civilized world before. Entrepreneurs find the strength and resources to move forward, support society and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukraine has numerous outstanding business owners who serve as inspiring examples, and we are pleased to recognize the best of the best. Oleksandr Povshedny, Chairman of the Board at ProCredit Bank, noted: ProCredit Bank has been operating in Ukraine since 2001, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and promoting their sustainable development. Our business client portfolio makes up 98%. We realize that business cannot wait, but requires constant support for stable functioning and growth. Our experience and support from shareholders allow us to effectively respond to entrepreneurs needs and offer reliable financial solutions. With timely access to resources, our clients can not only operate steadily but also enter new markets and create new jobs. ProCredit Bank is pleased to support initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and developing the business community.
