Recently, Ukraine has been taking active steps to reform its environmental policy. But without a systematic and comprehensive approach, there is a risk of not achieving the expected results in environment protection but creating additional barriers to economic growth. Therefore, on the EBA platform, we plan to unite a wide range of experts to find the most effective ways for reforming environmental policy in Ukraine, as well as to organize a professional dialogue between business and government on key issues of environmental legislation. Agenda Block 1. What is next for Ukraine’s environmental policy? A dialogue with Ruslan Strilets, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization. Block 2. Presentation of the White Paper on environmental policy reforms. Block 3. The state vision of reforms (state funding of environmental initiatives, subsoil use procedures, green energy, eco-modernization, industrial pollution). Block 4. Expert discussion of environmental policy reforms (waste management, MRV, ETS, NDC2, the Ministry’s sectoral plans, eco-modernization, environmental control, climate finance, EIA procedure). This meeting is scheduled for October 4, 11:00, and will take place at Park Inn By Radisson Kyiv Troyitska (55, Velyka Vasilkivska Street). For offline participants: Under the yellow zone requirements, you will need to provide one of the following COVID-19 documents on the spot: a vaccination certificate that proves that you have either one or two doses of vaccine* a negative test result certificate (PCR or antigen test, done within 72 hours) a recovery certificate Both international and domestic vaccination certificates are acceptable as long as their validity can be confirmed with the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services. It is also possible to provide a digital COVID-certificate with the use of the Diia mobile application. *A vaccine must be approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization. For the security check, all participants must comply with sanitary rules, including social distancing, temperature screening, and mask-wearing. In case of non-compliance, we will have to refuse your visit. The number of offline participants is limited. Registration is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis and may close before the deadline (October 1, 16:00). For online participants, the event will be live-streamed on Youtube and Facebook. Link to the live stream will be provided after the registration.
