EBA Sustainable Development Day to be held on November 11

  Next week, there will be the EBA Sustainable Development Day held on November 11. This is an annual event initiated by the EBA Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee. This year we have prepared many surprises for the participants during the official part followed by the refreshing networking buffet. Register here  The event will start with a presentation of the EBA Sustainable Development Index results which will be discussed by the government officials –  Ruslan Strilets, Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitization, Tetiana Lomakina, Advisor – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Barrier-Free Environment, the international partners –  Chloe Allio, Head of Section - Operations - Economic Cooperation, Energy, Infrastructure and Environment in the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, Oleksandr Muliar, Manager of UNDP Supporting Green Recovery in Ukraine Project, Tetiana Sakharuk, Director of Global Compact Representative Office in Ukraine, and, surely, the business representative –  Vitaliy Chudak, Head of the Regional Development Projects Department of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC (Naftogaz Group). In the second panel, participants will have the opportunity to hear about sustainable development initiatives from CEOs and board members of leading budget-generating Ukrainian and international companies. Thus, Tiberiu Dima, General Director, BASF Ukraine, Dmytro Sakharuk, Executive Director, DTEK, Oleksandr Romanyuk, Director of the Naftogaz Exploration and Production Division, Naftogaz of Ukraine, Maksym Yurkov, Member of the Management Board, NPC «Ukrenergo Pavlo Pyltiay, Executive Director, Kronospan Rivne, Yaroslavna Blonska, Executive Manager External Relations, Ferrexpo will share their experience with the audience. The third part of the event will be devoted to the exchange of views with representatives of the Government and Parliament on how the state can contribute to the sustainable development of Ukraine. The discussion will feature Oleh Bondarenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management, Oleksiy Ustenko, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Rents, Environmental Tax and Taxation of the Agro-Industrial complex, of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Lyudmyla Buimister, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Competition and Equal Business Conduct of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development and Kyrylo Kryvolap, Executive Director of the Center for Economic Recovery, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The last but not less important panel will include the exchange of the best practical cases from business, presented by Yulia Chermazovych, Chief Industrial Relations and Social Development Officer at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Maksym Minushkin, Director of corporate communications, DCH Steel, Lyudmyla Novak, Director of Corporate affairs, Interpipe Ukraine, and Oksana Koval, Head of Communications, PR & GR Department, Kernel, Oleksandr Vyshniakov, Director of the Regional Development Department of Metinvest Please note that the event is held exclusively offline and under effective quarantine requirements. Participants will have to take a free on-site express test or present one of the documents below: a vaccination certificate proving that you have two doses of a vaccine* a negative test result certificate (PCR or antigen test, done within 72 hours) a COVID-19 recovery certificate Both international and domestic vaccination certificates are acceptable as long as their validity can be confirmed with the Unified State Web Portal of Electronic Services. It is also possible to provide a digital COVID-certificate with the use of the Diia mobile application. *A vaccine must be approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization. For security reasons, all participants must comply with sanitary rules, including social distancing, temperature screening, and mask-wearing. In case of non-compliance, we will have to refuse your visit. Please note that prior registration is required, and only registered participants will be informed of any possible schedule changes.
