EBA welcomes the digitization of 13 licenses most demanded by business

12/ 08/ 2021
The government is launching an experiment of transferring licensing procedures to electronic format. The respective decision was taken on August 11, at a regular meeting of the CMU. As part of the pilot project E-permit, it is now possible to obtain one of the 13 most in-demand licenses just by filing an online application through the Diia portal. The following 13 licenses are available for the obtainment under the pilot project: · retail sale of alcoholic beverages (except table wines); · retail sale of tobacco products; · retail sale of liquids used in electronic cigarettes · wholesale of alcoholic beverages; · wholesale of tobacco products; · wholesale of liquids used in electronic cigarettes · wholesale of fuel; · fuel storage (exclusively for own consumption or industrial processing); · tour operator activities; · veterinary practice; · circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors; · economic activities related to preschool education; · mediation services of abroad employment. The implementation of the project involves the digitization of the full cycle of procedures of licensing and automatic issuance of licenses, where there are no additional checks of documents when applying. Entrepreneurs also retain the right to submit documents in paper form. Thus, the business will have the right to choose the method of application - in electronic form or on paper. The experiment will run from November 1, 2021, to October 31, 2023. After its completion, it is planned to submit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a draft Law on simplification of licensing conditions. The European Business Association thanks the Government for digitalizing licensing processes. We hope that the electronic system will work efficiently and without failures.
