EQ As an Essential Part of Success

Living in such pace, it is becoming more difficult to deal with emotions, not to mention realizing and control of other people emotions. Such concept as Emotional Intelligence (EQ) appeared only several decades ago and started to spread at high velocity. Now more and more people understand that their success in personal and professional life directly depends on their EQ level. According to the data of «Harvard Business Review» there are common signs that you need to work on your EQ: You feel that other people don’t understand you and it upsets you You are surprised when other people are offended by your commentaries and in this case you think that they take them too close to their heart You expect from other people the same as you expect from yourself You always find guilty, but never blame yourself You find it irritating when other people expect you to understand their feelings Emotional Intelligence is not something you either have or not. It is a combination of several features, which every person possesses: in majority people there are more expressed features due to the lack of other ones. In contrast to IQ, which essentially changes over the lifetime, Emotional Intelligence can be developed undependably from the age. The enhancement of Emotional intelligence means transferring to more conscious life. It facilitates personal development and creation of additional motivation factors, proactive behaviour and realization of their goals. Success and effectiveness of the leader (ability to make well-conceived decisions, inspire, lead, positively influence on others, change destructive methods into instructive, etc). The enhancement of the EQ is the most challenging activity people face at least once in their life, though fascinating as life itself. It gives fruitful results, boosts effectiveness, because we make our emotions work for the sake of our professional success.
