EBA experts participated in a meeting with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on European integration

    Representatives of the European Business Association took part in a meeting at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dedicated to the European integration processes in the agri-food industry.  During the meeting, the implementation plan for the EU Association Agreement and proposals for aligning Ukrainian legislation with European Union regulations were presented. Overall, the Ministry is responsible for the following negotiation chapters: Agriculture and Rural Development; Food Security, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Safety; Fisheries and Fishery Industry. It is worth noting that the Food Security, Veterinary, and Phytosanitary Safety chapter requires the implementation of more than 2,000 acts. Deputy Minister Oksana Osmachko stated that this work must be completed by the end of September 2025. The EBA recognizes the importance of this work and is ready to contribute to its development. The alignment of Ukrainian veterinary legislation with EU standards is not only essential for Ukraines integration into the European framework but also a crucial step towards economic development and improving the quality of life for its citizens by ensuring food safety and animal health protection.
