Egis Donates 100 000 € to the NGO ACTED for Humanitarian Support to Ukraine

  Egis has contributed € 100,000 to the ACTED fund, which has chartered 35 humanitarian aid trucks from France and shipped them to Poland, Moldova, and Ukraine. Fundraising is still in progress. In addition, Ukrainian employees have created and provided volunteer movements. Besides, they actively support refugees and displaced persons, and in all countries where the Egis Group is present, the collection and delivery of humanitarian aid have been organized. For Egis situation in Ukraine is not something far away, company has operated in Ukraine since 1996 and identified Kyiv as a regional hub for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Since then Egis in Ukraine has participated in more than 110 development projects in the country and in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Caucasus regions. The company has 200 employees including over 145 qualified engineers and experts. All of them are safe and have company support, but most are still based in Ukraine. The company supports the employees as well as Ukrainians. “I want to emphasize that Egis is not present in Russian Federation since 2014. In addition, the part of Egis in Ukraine team who are in Ukraine now supports a number of humanitarian initiatives. The Ukrainian team organized the transportation of refugees in Ukraine, logistics, and supply of essential goods to the cities that are in difficult situations (including Irpin, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and others). Recently, the Egis team in Ukraine helped to deliver medical supplies to the Okhmatdid Childrens Hospital from Krakow (Poland) and purchase medical supplies for the Central Military Hospital. All this became possible thanks to the actions of the NGO Entrepreneurial Club and Egis. About Egis in Ukraine Egis has been operating in Ukraine since 1996, working on a variety of private and government-funded projects across various sectors. About ACTED ACTED has been present in Ukraine since 2015, responding to the emergency and longer-term needs of vulnerable, marginalized and conflict-affected populations living along the Line of Contact (LoC) in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts. Over the past two years, ACTED has expanded its operations to Kharkiv, Kherson and the Sea of Azov region. Since the conflict eruption in the rest of the country on 24 February 2022, ACTED is upscaling its activities to support affected people in conflict hotspots, displaced and evacuees across Ukraine, as well as refugee populations in neighboring countries of central Europe. About Dopomoga.RAZOM Dopomoga.RAZOM- a volunteer organization the main goal is to solve urgently critical issues: to collect applications and provide assistance in drawing up evacuation routes, delivery of medicines, food, etc. Today RAZOM Help provides logistics for large flows of humanitarian aid, their distribution, and redistribution. About NGO «Entrepreneurial Club» The Entrepreneurship Club is a non-governmental organization founded by an Egis employee in 2013. Today, the Entrepreneurship Club is a co-organizer and partner of the Ukrainian civic initiative DOPOMOGA.Razom, which purchases and supplies goods where they are most needed.
