EBA launches a networking platform for event participants

02/ 09/ 2026
The European Business Association has launched a new feature — Matchmaking. It enables participants of in-person events to view the guest list in advance, select potential contacts to connect with, and arrange meetings before the event begins. Professional networking is an important part of EBA events. Every year, our events bring together representatives of leading Ukrainian and international companies, senior executives, experts and other professionals. At the same time, it is often impossible to connect with everyone directly during an event. To make professional networking more targeted and effective, EBA is introducing Matchmaking. How does Matchmaking work? When registering for an event, participants can opt in to the Matchmaking process. Once they do so, the participant list becomes available on the event page, allowing them to select a potential contact and send a meeting request. The recipient receives a notification and can accept or decline the request. If both participants agree, they receive each other’s contact details and can arrange to meet during the EBA event. To maintain the quality of communication and avoid unwanted mass requests, participants may send no more than two meeting requests per event. As a result, participants can arrive at an event with a clear idea of whom they would like to meet and make more effective use of their time for professional networking. The entire process takes place automatically through the personal account, without any additional involvement from the event organisers. The new feature is already available for its first event — Global Outlook: The Next Economy, taking place on 15 September. At present, Matchmaking is available by default for in-person business-category events. EBA also plans to extend the use of this tool to other formats of in-person meetings.
