01/ 03/ 2021
The first WUO HR Committee meeting chaired and moderated by Olena Skyba, the Committee Chair took place on the 1st of March. The meeting was on the Employer branding with the candidates eyes. The invited expert Kateryna Matiushchenko told us about the importance of proper communication at every step of the candidates path, from placing a vacancy to the onboarding process. In particular, Kateryna emphasized the following points: Use all possible communication channels to publish vacancies such as Linkedin, Glassdoor, the companys channels, telegram channels, and its employees as a source of communication; When describing vacancies, you should pay attention to certain points that will make the candidate pay attention to the vacancy: - vacancy relevance; - a description of what the candidate will do, but not a list of strict requirements for age/education, candidates work experience; - briefly describe the future onboarding process; - values that are confessed by the company; - more information on the support that companies will provide to their employees; - vacancy description creativity, which attracts attention. The resume submission process convenience is crucial because at this stage you can often lose a good candidate; The first person of the company and existing employees are the best ambassadors of the brand; The first contact matters. The recruiter or interviewer requirements are the same as for a candidate; Test task is ok, but should not take more than 3-4 hours to be done; Feedback is required, even if you refuse a candidate, and especially if the candidate has already gone through several stages of the interview. We thank Kateryna for the informative meeting and everyone who joined the meeting. And congratulations to Olena Skyba, with a great start!
