EBA Lviv Meets the Candidate: Igor Vasiunyk

    On October 8, 2020, within the project: EBA meets the candidates, a meeting with the candidate for the mayor of the Lviv UTC Igor Vasyunyk took place. Mr. Vasyunyk briefly presented the program “Lviv-First. Strategy 2030,” which includes environmental, economic, social strategies for the city development and, of course, the mobility strategy, which is crucial for the business and investment climate. Briefly look through the Lviv Development goals, which are the following: Сreating a transparent system of city management without corruption by maximizing digitalization in communication between government and business. Zero tolerance of corruption. Transforming Lviv into a powerful international logistics hub by completing the northern bypass road, building a European track from Mostysk to Lviv, building logistics warehouses around the bypass, as well as parking lots at the entrance to the city; Simultaneous development in the city of both the tourism industry and the latest modern scientific, economic sectors of the economy, production, which provide high added value; Lviv transformation into a modern center of medical tourism; Economic transformation by creating a free economic zone, competitive conditions for exporters, and a single certification center to increase the share of exports in the citys balance sheet; IT sector support by the creation of a single city bank for it, where IT specialists will be able to invest their funds on special terms; Implement a long-awaited electronic ticket in public transport and create a single transport management company in the city. And during four years to organize high-quality and free public transport for city residents; Creation of a single municipal bioenergy company for waste disposal; Application of the cooperation mechanism (joint production) to attract foreign investment.
