EBA Kharkiv Business Hacks: “Compliance in Employment. Practical Tools for Eliminating Corruption Risks”

  Many Ukrainian enterprises are penalized due to ambiguous interpretation of the Labor Law. Also, such situation could lead to corruption. Strengthening the Principles of Integrity in the Interaction between the State and Business Project, implemented by Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC), is aimed to establish a dialog between employers and regulatory authorities. UNIC’s experts together with the Lawyers of Ilyashev and Partners Law Firm have analyzed the corruption risks in Labor Regulation and prepared recommendations for the Government of Ukraine. The representatives of the State Service of Ukraine on Labor in Kharkiv Region were invited to the meeting. Eduard Rubin, Deputy Head of EBA Kharkiv Coordination Council, Telesens IT Сhairman of the Directors Board, outlined the main issues of tax and regulatory pressure on IT industry: “Businessmen are ready to pay taxes, but they want to have clear and transparent rules of the game”. Valeriya Gudiy and Andrey Litvin, the Lawyers of Ilyashev and Partners, highlighted the responsibility of business for non-compliance with the Labor Law and proposed the tools of minimizing risks of penalties. Julia Vrublevskaya, the Project Coordinator of UNIC, presented the recommendations prepared for the government. Many thanks to the speakers and the participants for constructive dialogue!
