EBA Dnipro PR & Marketing HUB: Digital trends 2021

  EBA Dnipro had meeting of the PR & Marketing HUB, where we discussed the actual topic Digital trends 2021, together with the incredibly professional speaker Tetyana Mokrenko, CEO & Founder digital agency MokCo. The event was moderated by Olga Zenina, Head of PR & Marketing HUB, coordinator of international relations BDO Ukraine. The past year had a significant impact on user habits. During periods of quarantine, people began to sit on the Internet more, e-commerce sales, streaming and entertainment services were increased. Digital habits that have been acquired during the quarantine persisted after its weakening. Digitalization has taken place at all levels - from education and work processes to communication with relatives. An interesting fact was that the Internet has become more vertical, users and potential audiences have integrated into mobile traffic. According to a statistical research made by the digital agency MokСo, 92% of Internet clients use the mobile Internet and spend 3 hours and 22 minutes every day in it. Such social networks as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram were included into the top ten most popular sites. If we consider the example of the social network Facebook, we note that it used to be an entertainment platform in 2018 but it transformed into a platform for communication, exchange and dissemination of information in 2021. Facebook Live and Instagram Live have also gained popularity. Facebook streams work with news and educational content, and Instagram streaming is an entertaining communication channel. Has Tik Tok become a business trend? Many companies have managed to grow their audience and gain a huge number of subscribers through their short and informative videos. As for the statistics, the numbers are impressive: 90% of users can open the application 9 times a day and spend 52 minutes there every day. If we highlight the main and undisputed content that is most in demand among users in 2021, it is: online video (90%); deposits (53%);  musical streams (73%); online radio (47%); podcasts (43%). Knowing and respecting your clients interests, following communication trends and taking into account the results of marketing research are the most important components of business success.
