EBA Dnipro Business Hacks: Compliance in employment: practical tools for eliminating corruption risks

    Compliance is a rather unusual term for business. Although, in fact, the concept is not new. The name is new. Labor Compliance is a set of measures to ensure that the activity of the employer and other subjects of labor law is in conformity with the current legislation, and other normative documents that contain the rules of labor law. Within the meeting the representatives of EBA member-company Centravis Production Ukraine – Inna Polutsyganova, Head of Corporate Rights and Legal Affairs, Lawyer, and Yana Bakhmatova, Specialist in Internal Communications, were the first to share their practice. Thus, the basic principles of compliance control are impartiality, systematicity, efficiency and timeliness, the inevitability of the onset of responsibility. The main indicators of compliance system efficiency in a company are: Improvement of the results of business activity of a company as a whole; Formation of a positive business reputation; Formation of a certain corporate culture. The experts of Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm – Lesya Samarina, Head of Dnipro Office, and Valeria Gudiy, Advisor, Attorney, Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, spoke about the responsibility for violations of the Labor Law and Remuneration (disciplinary, administrative, financial, criminal, criminal) and assessing corruption risks in the fight with the shadow economy. On the part of the authorities, there were Andriy Tolstoguzov, Head of the Department of Labor of the Main Department of the State Labor Service in Dnipropetrovsk Region, and Igor Osadchiy, First Deputy Chief of the Main Department of the State Labor Service in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The main message from them was to conduct honest activity, not to violate, not to give or provoke bribery of representatives of the authorities. Gayana Karakashian, Head of the UNIC Secretariat, presented a package of recommendations to the Government of Ukraine within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Principles of Integrity in State-Business Relations”.
