EBA Dnipro Best Business Practices: The renovation of the elevator with a 100-years history

The high season for grain traders continues, so we accepted the invitation of G.R. AGRO, and visited the elevator complex Ingulets, which is managed by the company since 2016. Artem Rempen, Chief Operating Officer G.R. AGRO, member of the Coordination Council of EBA Dnipro, conducted an incredibly interesting excursion, during which guests learned and saw how everything works. Thus, the stages of grain reception include the following steps: 1️⃣ Laboratory research. 2️⃣ Weighing. 3️⃣ Reception of grain. 4️⃣ Cleaning. 5️⃣ Drying. 6️⃣ Warehousing. 7️⃣ Shipment. The floor storage elevator can hold up to 52 thousand tons of grain. An interesting fact was that after the reconstruction of the granary and full automation of processes, the elevator took a record number of cars loaded with grain - 114 units. A new grain dryer with a capacity of 90 tons per hour was launched in 2020. Grain dryer is allowed to control grain humidity, a condition of work of burners, the turbofan, and also work of conveyors after modernization. The grain dryer can be controlled remotely. A significant advantage of the complex there are four independent technological lines, that give the elevator bigger mobility, because each line can accept a separate crop.
