EBA and Mind Club Business Talks in Lviv

29/ 06/ 2018
Photos by Roman Pyshchyk Not only music united the representatives of the Association and Leopolis Jazz Fest guests, but the variety of business meetings held by the Association. On June 28, the community met for informal “No Ties Networking” meeting at Advice Group Office. It was a great chance for EBA members from different cities to meet each other, discuss the upcoming events, concerts and furthermore to share the views on the business environment in different regions. On June 29, the business community had an opportunity to get expanded answers to provocative questions within EBA and Mind Club Business Talks on the topic “Why Ukraine? Opportunities and barriers for investment” held in the Grand Hotel. Sometimes it is important to get out of the box, see the situation from different perspectives, for example, from the side of our international partners and neighbors. Therefore, we invited the honored guests Ron van Rooden, IMF Mission Chief for Ukraine, and Hugues Mingarelli, Head of the EU delegation to Ukraine, to share their view on Ukraine. Key massages from Mr. Rooden and Mr. Mingarelli: there are a number of positive changes in Ukraine welcomed by global community, in particular creation of the Anti-Corruption court and National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, automatic refund of VAT etc.; the beginning of the upcoming year will not be easy for the country because of the need to return external obligations and Ukraine should continue to make reforms in order to get additional financing; Ukraine has to work hard to improve the image among foreign countries. Ukrainians have to appreciate their country, more actively encourage government officials to implement reforms, promote good things and successful cases that are happening every day among the citizens and foreign neighbors. It is important to combine efforts in order to succeed, so we are grateful to Mind.UA, Roman Matys and his team from Invest in Lviv region, and of course, Anton Podilchak, Head of the EBA Regional Coordination Council and his company Advice Group for joint project. We would like to thank our event partners responsible for the festive mood – Pernod Ricard Ukraine and bartenders Dmytro, Yuriy, Pavlo from The Room Wine Bar for amazing cocktails, our hostess from Argus company for hospitability and security!
