09/ 11/ 2017
Today, small and medium-sized businesses are the base for building the economy and raising the standard of living of the population. World experience shows that it provides two to three times greater efficiency of capital investment both in terms of funds and in terms of return. In order to promote Ukrainian entrepreneurship, on November 9, an EBA Odesa Discussion with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) took place. EBRD Project Coordinators - Denys Torkhov and Julia Ityhina shared funding and development opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, supported by the EU4Business programs. Participants of the event were able to get new useful information about strategy, marketing, use of innovative technologies, management and other consulting areas for their business. In addition, speakers presented specific export support programs and training for enterprise executives. It is important to remind that the EBRD operates in more than 30 countries, including Ukraine, and invests in projects that facilitate the transition to an open market economy. The Bank helps to attract highly qualified local consultants and international expert practitioners capable of qualitatively transforming their business, and provides grants for partial compensation of consultants fees. Since September 2017, new EBRD office in Odesa has started its work, which is responsible for working with the enterprises of Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
