DSV in Ukraine has obtained the TAPA TSR 2020 certificate

23/ 03/ 2023
In March 2023, DSV in Ukraine underwent certification of its cargo and transport management systems for preservation at DQS GmbH and became the first in Ukraine to obtain the TAPA TSR 2020 certificate. The TAPA TSR certificate is a guarantee of compliance with international standards for cargo transportation security. Typically, this standard sets specific requirements for the local and international transport of valuable goods, allowing for the identification and evaluation of potential risks throughout the entire transportation chain, and taking appropriate security measures in advance. The TAPA TSR sets requirements for operational processes and their control in a logistics company, communication mechanisms, trailer, and truck equipment. The standard aims to protect goods transported by road and ensure the safety of transport vehicle drivers. The TAPA TSR certification provides three levels of security: 1-high, 2-medium, and 3-basic. DSV in Ukraine has a level three security certificate for semi-trailers, refrigerated trucks, and hardbody trucks. Transporting valuable goods is a responsible and complex task for a logistics company, and it poses an extremely high risk to the customer due to the possibility of loss or damage. In todays conditions, securing specialized goods from theft is particularly challenging. More than 90% of reported cargo losses in the TAPA EMEA (Transported Asset Protection Association - Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Intelligence System (TIS) are related to criminal attacks on transport vehicles. According to data from 2022, the TAPA organization worldwide was informed of 13,416 thefts or attempted thefts, which is more than twice the number compared to 2021. Indeed, the TAPA TSR certification provides customers with confidence in the reliability and safety of transporting high-value and expensive goods. This category of goods typically includes computer peripherals, watches, miners, dental supplies and products, medical devices (Botox, Butalax, etc.), contact lenses, bags, leather goods, textiles, perfumes, branded goods, tableware, household and electronic appliances, excisable goods, and others. Only in collaboration with a TAPA TSR certified logistics company can you be confident in the safe transportation of goods, reduce the risks of loss, and not worry about something going wrong during transportation. * * * TAPA (The Transported Asset Protection Association) is an association dedicated to reducing losses in national and international supply chains.  DQS GmbH is a multinational holding company that serves as the international parent company of the DQS Group.
