Dentons advises Black Sea Trade and Development Bank on SME term loan to Creditwest Bank

  November 4, 2021, Kyiv — Global law firm Dentons acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) in connection with a small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) term loan to Joint Stock Company “West Finance and Credit Bank” (Creditwest Bank). The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank is an international financial institution serving the 11 member founding countries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. This financing is intended to contribute toward expanding Creditwest Bank’s SME lending program and improve access to financing for small and medium-sized private businesses and entrepreneurs. Moreover, such projects will not only help to improve the business environment in Ukraine but will also generally contribute to economic development in the country. The Dentons team, led by Partner Natalia Selyakova, together with Counsel Nadiya Shylienkova, and associates Artur Savin and Polina Reshetniak provided legal advice on regulatory, banking and finance law matters in Ukraine. They also drafted related Ukrainian-law security documents and coordinated the closing.
