CMS advises Stakelogic on obtaining a Ukrainian B2B gambling license

19/ 07/ 2021
CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang in Kyiv has supported Stakelogic through the whole process of becoming one of the first service providers to be approved for a B2B supplier license issued by the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries in Ukraine (KRAIL). Stakelogic is an multi-national end-to-end software factory which develops its game elements (graphics, animations, sounds, game server and UI) in-house. Stakelogic stands behind games such as Black Gold 2™ Megaways™ and Giant’s Fortune Megaways™, the collection of Super Stake™ games as well as the recently announced Live Casino offering, featuring Blackjack, Roulette and various gameshows. Stakelogic’s full suite of games has already been approved by the Malta Gaming Authority, ONJN in Romania as well as the UK Gambling Commission. Securing the KRAIL license means that Ukrainian players will also be able to experience Stakelogic’s collection of video slots. Olga Belyakova, Partner and CEE Co-head of the Technology, Media and Communications (TMC), commented: “We are pleased to have worked with Stakelogic on being awarded its Ukrainian B2B gambling licence. This reflects our deep sector knowledge, technical expertise and ability to advise on gambling law requirements and the stringent criteria applied by the regulators in issuing such licenses.” Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO at Stakelogic, said: “The Ukrainian market has been on our radar for some time, with leading CIS market experts tipping it to be the territory with the greatest potential in the region. We are delighted to announce that KRAIL has awarded us one of the first B2B licenses in the country. We are grateful for the support from the CMS team who were instrumental in guiding us through the entire application process.” The CMS team advising Stakelogic included Olga Belyakova (Partner), Mykola Heletiy (Senior Associate) and Oleksandr Sytnyk (Lawyer). -END- For further information, please contact: Irina Lapchenko E: [email protected] T: +38044 3913377 Notes to editors: Founded in 1999, CMS is an integrated, multi-jurisdictional organisation of law firms that offers full-service legal and tax advice.
