From an educational project to employment

  Not many big companies rush to hire inexperienced professionals and graduates. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decided to raise its employees to their own values, corporate culture and professional needs and  launched a unique New Factory educational project. The goal of this project is to transform production by changing the consciousness of young people and create a new community with a new mentality. At the EBA Dnipro HR HUB meeting, we considered the steps that need to be taken to implement such an educational project: develop its conditions; choose a university and partners; develop and launch a promotional company; develop a training program and involve teachers; submit a project and sign a memorandum with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; hold an extended working session with partners and the Ministry of Education; conduct a competitive selection and attract the best students; renovate auditoriums and dorms. Education programme based on enterprise has a number of advantages for young people such as: the opportunity to receive free training, an English course, an international internship and as a result to get a job at the request of a specific business. Also in ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih created a variety of excursion projects for young people who want to learn how the metallurgical giant works, see the production itself and go through the practice. We congrats Yuliya Chermazovich, head of EBA Dnipro HR HUB, with a new position - Director for Industry Relations and Social Development of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih and thank for the practical experience and insights she shared.
