Blagomay Charity Fund: 13 Years of Caring for Children

  In 2025, the Blagomay Charity Fund celebrates its 13th anniversary. Over the years, the fund has provided assistance to more than 1.6 million beneficiaries, with total aid exceeding 309 million UAH. Through its efforts, Blagomay ensures children receive essential resources, educational and medical opportunities, and the restoration of social infrastructure for a dignified life and development. Supporting Children from Vulnerable Categories and Family-Type Orphanages . Since its foundation in 2012, Blagomay has actively supported orphans, children from large and low-income families, and family-type orphanages. The fund covers their humanitarian needs, including warm winter clothing, stationery, hygiene products, and much more. The main goal is to respond quickly and provide for the urgent needs of children. “It all started over 13 years ago as a volunteer initiative to visit an orphanage and help children. Over time, more and more people joined us, and as our support grew, we realized the necessity of establishing a charity fund. We made it happen. And it was the right decision,” shares Tetiana Karapetyan, co-founder of the Blagomay Charity Fund. Educational Project “Girl Power Ukraine”. One of the fund’s key initiatives is the “Girl Power Ukraine” educational project, aimed at supporting teenage girls aged 13-18 from vulnerable backgrounds. The project covers leadership, personal development, financial literacy, reproductive health, and gender equality. Each participant undergoes a competitive selection process and submits a motivational essay. Since 2020, more than 20,000 girls from various regions of Ukraine have completed the “Girl Power Ukraine” educational course. A Safe Educational Space: Blagomay HUB. Blagomay HUB is a safe educational space in the center of Kyiv for teenagers aged 13-18. The initiative supports and develops youth from vulnerable backgrounds, including orphans, children from low-income families, and internally displaced persons. The first Blagomay HUB educational space was launched with financial support from PepsiCo Foundation. Project results in over a year: 7,905 participants 841 events for children 393 individual psychological consultations Over 339 invited lecturers “Our educational projects ‘Girl Power Ukraine’ and ‘Blagomay HUB’ help teenage girls and adolescents from vulnerable categories unlock their potential, acquire essential life skills, and confidently move toward their future. These are impactful educational programs that change children’s lives,” said Kira Syrotenko, Acting Head of the Fund’s Board. New Hospitals: Supporting Ukraine’s Medical Institutions. Since the full-scale invasion, the fund has expanded its activities to support medical institutions, particularly perinatal hospitals and rehabilitation centers for children. The Blagomay team has focused on purchasing modern medical equipment for hospitals across Ukraine. Project results: 13 regions of Ukraine 470 units of high-value medical equipment 145 million UAH allocated to the project More than 1.3 million beneficiaries received assistance Reconstruction and Recovery . Blagomay is actively engaged in reconstructing, restoring, and building social and educational infrastructure, including the construction of bomb shelters. The absence of safe shelters in kindergartens and schools poses a life-threatening risk to children and often leads to facility closures due to non-compliance with safety regulations. Since the full-scale invasion, Blagomay has built and restored eight bomb shelters in Kyiv and Sumy regions. In 2025, the plan is to construct seven new shelters in front-line regions of Ukraine. “Over the past 13 years, we have come a long way, and today, we are implementing national assistance projects. We are grateful to our partners and benefactors for their continuous support. Together, we are creating a better future for our children and our country,” said Kostiantyn Holubiatnikov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Co-founder of the Fund.
