The business met with the newly appointed acting SFS Head – Denys Gutenko

07/ 08/ 2019
Yesterday, August 6, a working meeting between the European Business Association and the newly appointed acting Head of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) Denis Gutenko was held. During the meeting topical issues related to tax and customs directions were discussed, which were repeatedly raised by businesses. Agreements were reached on refining the risk criteria and a more prudent approach to defining classification codes. Excise products and the introduction of an electronic excise stamp were also discussed. In addition, the SFS representatives announced that they had initiated an appeal to the Ministry of Finance regarding the need to amend the tax legislation (or provide additional clarifications) regarding the registration of excise bills and fuel balances in the new system. Questions were also raised concerning the delays with timely reimbursement of VAT and financial penalties for rounding off checks. The European Business Association would like to thank the new leader for his constructive approach during the discussion and SFS representatives for their openness to dialogue, in particular in the context of this transitional period for the SFS.
