Business welcomes the Agreement on the road transport liberalization and looks forward to its signing

14/ 06/ 2022
Today, the European Commission approved the final text of the Special Agreement on the Liberalization of Road Transport between Ukraine and the EU. The text of the Agreement envisages bilateral and transit transportation for Ukrainian carriers without permits. In other words, problems that have often arisen for Ukrainian carriers, for example, due to lack of road transport permits will disappear, because they will not be needed at all upon the signing of the Special Agreement. Moreover, as most of the Ukrainian ports cannot work due to the war and the blockade by russia, such a decision will obviously facilitate international trade and the continuation of export operations. Besides, it will improve and speed up logistics between Ukraine and the EU. The European Business Association welcomes this decision, as the community was one of the first in Ukraine to raise the issue of liberalizing road transportation a few years ago. Business very much hopes that the Special Agreement will be signed in June and work practice.
