Business welcomes the abolition of the need to obtain a permit for conscripts to move between regions

06/ 07/ 2022
Today, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine canceled the Order for Conscripts to Obtain Permits for the Movement between the Regions of Ukraine. Undoubtedly, the European Business Association welcomes this decision as the possible implementation of such an order has caused great concern in business! According to the information published in the media, the updates to the document (instead of the canceled Order) will be developed based on changes to the laws of Ukraine and subordinate legal acts that regulate the movement of citizens under martial law. So, for its part, business is ready to join and provide relevant proposals to the document. Surely, it is necessary to maintain a strong front during martial law. At the same time, it is important to support the economic front and business is at the heart of it. After all, the ability to move freely within the country, the ability to travel abroad for short periods, as well as a single format and procedure for booking employees which would be clearly and transparently applied by all involved authorities, are extremely important for the efficient operation of business. This, in turn, will enable business to continue its work and be a reliable rear. The EBA member companies and Ukrainian business as a whole are trying to do their best to ensure that the domestic economy works, so that the vital needs of the people and the Armed Forces are provided, as well as the economic prerequisites are created for victory and further post-war recovery of Ukraine. So, we sincerely hope for further cooperation. Meanwhile, we are sincerely grateful that the voice of business has been heard!
