Business asks the President to sign a draft law that simplifies and digitizes HR issues

08/ 07/ 2022
The European Business Association welcomes the adoption of draft Law No. 7251 by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on July 1, 2022. The document provides for the optimization of labor relations. Business considers that this draft law significantly simplifies the administration of HR relations for an employer taking into account the martial law, namely, changing the terms and place of work to eliminate the consequences of hostilities, allowing to settle the salary issue for the company that operates amidst the war, enables the employee to take a vacation at ones own expense for an unlimited time, maintaining the place of work at the same time. It also simplifies the hiring process and dismissal at the request of the employee. Separately, it is worth noting that for the period of martial law, all HR documents – orders, resolutions, notices – can be converted into electronic form. The European Business Association consistently advocates reforming the regulation of labor relations. The EBA experts took an active part in revising the Law during its preparation for the second reading. Meanwhile, business appeals to the President of Ukraine with a request to sign the draft law so that the simplification and digitization of HR issues can be started during the period of martial law.
