Business expects unlocking the import/export of goods containing fluorinated greenhouse gases

02/ 03/ 2021
It has been two weeks since we reported on delays in the issuance of licenses for import/export of goods containing fluorinated greenhouse gases, however, as of now, the situation has slightly improved. Thus, some companies received approval from the Ministry of Environment which is necessary for the issuance of licenses. Nevertheless, business is not able to import/export goods, as the Ministry of Economy still does not issue licenses. On March 1, at the request of the European Business Association, the Ministry of Economy was informed that starting from March 2, the companies will receive licenses. Therefore, the business community very much hopes that from today the import and export of this type of product will be unblocked because this situation has been going on for a little over two months. It will be recalled that at the end of last year the Government adopted Resolution №1329 on the list of goods, export, and import of which are subject to licensing in 2021 that provides that fluorinated greenhouse gases are controlled substances. Therefore, from January 1, 2021, it is necessary to obtain a license from the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade, and Agriculture for the import/export of these gases or goods containing them. According to Resolution №1329, the Mineconomy must issue such licenses upon the application of the business entity and its obtainment of approval for the issuance of such a license from the Ministry of Environment.      Be the first to learn about the latest EBA news with our Telegram-channel – EBAUkraine.
