Business discussed with the Ministry of Economy the licensesing for import/export of goods with fluorinated greenhouse gases

  On February 10, the EBA Consumer Electronics Committee met with the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine - Taras Kachka, and the leadership of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity of the Ministry of Economy. The topic of discussion was the need to simplify the procedure for obtaining licenses for the import/export of goods containing fluorinated greenhouse gases, such as air conditioners, heat pumps, etc. During the meeting, the EBA members made their proposals, namely, to reduce the list of documents required for obtaining licenses. In addition, the parties discussed the status of legislative initiatives in this area, including draft law №5167 on the liberalization of foreign economic activity and the draft Order of the Ministry of Economy on the procedure for export licensing. Following the meeting, the participants agreed that the Association will provide formal proposals for the abovementioned drafts. In addition, it was agreed to organize an additional meeting with the participation of not only the leadership of the Ministry of Economy but also the Ministry of Environment to discuss their position and business proposals on the simplification of this process.
