Business discussed the security challenges of wartime

07/ 10/ 2022
On October 6, the EBA Committee for Security and Business Protection held a meeting with the security professionals, namely representatives of the Association of Corporate Security Professionals of Ukraine and the American Society of Industrial Security in Ukraine. The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to exchange experience gained during the war, discuss business challenges in the field of security to find respective solutions, and identify probable sources of threats to business. In particular, the issue of preparing businesses and the population for the cold season, as well as working on mistakes – finalizing plans to respond to various wartime challenges in Ukraine, is extremely relevant. According to the EBA information, for 60% of those companies, that considered the risk of a full-scale invasion seriously in February and made proper preparations, the plans did not work to the full, so businesses are currently finalizing various scenarios and procedures to draw proper conclusions and be as prepared as possible. Particularly, on the eve of winter, it is important to work out various scenarios - how to continue business operations in the event of a lack of fuel, electricity, communication, access to information, and databases, given an outflow of people abroad, as well as how to preserve assets and funds. Experts advise businesses and the public to take seriously the threats that can arise in winter, and share their experience and advice on how to be prepared for potential threats. We thank the experts for participating in the meeting and sharing useful experiences!
