Business discussed issues of railway transport and port infrastructure

  On January 25, representatives of the Logistics Committee met with Yurii Vaskov, Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, as well as Yevhen Liashchenko, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrainian Railways” (Ukrzaliznytsia). During the meeting, several topical issues for business in the areas of rail transport and port infrastructure were discussed, including Ukrzaliznytsias plans for 2024 in terms of investment projects, continuing the companys restructuring process, restoring critical infrastructure, and improving the turnover of rolling stock. For its part, the business showed Ukrzaliznytsia its support for the companys position in terms of dividend policy and land taxation. As for the port industry, the meeting participants discussed several topical issues, including privatization projects, investment compensation mechanisms, legislation on construction on water fund lands, and the procedure for compensating shipowners for damage. We are grateful for the cooperation of the leadership of the relevant agencies and look forward to continuing a fruitful dialogue!
