Business emphasizes the need to launch the eTrip system for short-term business trips abroad

25/ 09/ 2022
The last week was marked by a number of votes in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine aimed at resolving problematic issues of military registration and reservation of critical employees from mobilization. Meanwhile, the European Business Association would like to draw attention to another extremely critical issue for business that needs to be resolved. In particular, we are talking about the need to launch a simple and effective mechanism for short-term business trips abroad. Thus, at the end of the summer, the Government announced the launch of the eTrip mechanism from September 1, with the help of which companies could make a special deposit and obtain permission for a short-term business trip for their employee. Unfortunately, September is coming to the end, and the announced system has not yet been launched. Surely, it is possible to debate for a long time about the optimal duration of short-term business trips, especially considering the extremely complicated logistics in the current conditions, the size of the average salary, deposit, etc. But, in our opinion, the creation of a transparent and simple mechanism for obtaining a permit for foreign business trips online is an extremely important stage for the economic development of the state. Therefore, business hopes for the urgent signing of the relevant Government resolution and the launch of the long-awaited eTrip.
